Desktop Effects Cube+ wobbly windows and more

Ubuntu provides a wide range of customize desktop effects. You can make a creative desktop environment with the open source tools that are provided. 

For this you'll need following tools and packages.

1. Synaptic package manager

2. CompizConfig settings manager

Go to Software center and search for Synaptic package manager and install it.

Then Search for compizconfig settings manager and install it.

Next Find unity tweak tool and install it.

Now open up the synaptic package manager. Search for compiz. Then Tick on the following packages as shown and install them.

Wobbly windows........

After installing the packages, open up the Compiz manager. 
1. Then go to Effects area and click on Wobbly windows  
2. Then click on Disable  snapping windows.

you can see windows are wobbly now.

Cube effect.....

Step 1>>>

To get the cube effect, you need 4 horizontal workspace. For that, Go to general settings in Compiz manager and go to Desktop size Tab. Increase the no of horizontal desktops to 4 and vertical to 1.

 

Step 2>>>

Now Tick the Desktop Cube in Desktop options in compiz manager.Then click disable desktop wall

To enable a Transparent cube go to Transparent cube tab and reduce the opacity.

Step 3>>>

Then go to Rotate Cube. Go to Bindings and put any binding you want to rotate the cube(Keyboard shortcuts). Then tick the Rotate Cube and use your key bindings to rotate the cube
